ASG Music Studios, formerly known as the

"Amherst School of Guitar", was established in 1982 by its current Director, guitarist/composer

Mir Ali. ASG offers private and group lessons in many instruments and caters to students of all ages. Our faculty is among the best music educators in the country, all highly qualified graduates of reputable music universities and conservatories. They bring a diverse, informed

and fun experience to each lesson in a friendly and relaxed environment.

We offer private lessons in guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, piano, voice, violin, viola, trombone, electric guitar, electric bass, drums, percussion, mandolin, tabla, sitar, harmonium and santoor.

 

ASG is recognized for its fun and innovative Early Childhood Program, group classes, guitar ensembles and voice choir. Although the majority of our students enjoy music as a leisurely hobby, we do have many students in our accelerated program where they have opportunities to compete in regional, national and even international competitions.
